Aaron Marcus Mobile devices and social networking are worldwide phenomena. The design of user interfaces and, ultimately, user experiences for these cross-cultural products and services deserve special attention. This talk will cover three topics: cross-cultural user experience design, mobile user interfaces, and social networking, featuring examples from the United States, Europe, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The issues Aaron discusses should provide stimulus for your own development of interaction, navigation, and mental models; presentation schema, and metaphor selection. Aaron Marcus is a 40-year pioneer of user interface design and heads Aaron Marcus and Associates, Inc., a firm with 25 years of experience and expertise. He is an AIGA Fellow, Editor-in-Chief of User Experience Magazine, a UPA publication, and an Advisory Board Member of Interactions, from SIGCHI, as well as an Editor of Information Design Journal.
