If by State or Country a simply visual representation under each
product illustrated could be the answer. The Blue and Red state map
of the US during the elections is a good example. People are less
likely to choose an item that they are visually shown their
country/state doesn't have it; so the error message would be either
skipped or at least tolerated more because they have already noticed
the map's status information. There may be an issue with generating
a whole stack of maps with different yes/no states for each
State/Country though! Subsets may be needed to cull the permutations.
Postal code is difficult as there are so many to list and it is hard
to visually represent
