Full disclosure: I work for Infragistics. But I'm not recommending this because of that fact. It's just we have something that can help with this: http://www.infragistics.com/dotnet/netadvantage/winforms/wingridbaglayoutpanel.aspx WPF has a built in Grid layout element that I suspect you could use to create a consistent grid layout in that technology. Also, FWIW, we cover the Grid Layout pattern (Rich<http://quince.infragistics.com/#/Main/ViewPattern$pattern=Grid+Layout> /HTML <http://quince.infragistics.com/Patterns/Grid%20Layout.html>) in our UX patterns explorer, Quince.
