Can aptitudes tests for measuring a persons potential to be an interaction designer, experience designer, design researcher, etc.. be used to promote ixd awareness and the amount of practitioners?
While aptitude tests (paper or interactive) can be gamed, they could encourage students and professionals, who scored favorably in the test, to look at interaction design and related fields. I'm currently unaware of aptitude tests available to career counsellors or the general public that evaluates a person's 'innate' ability for interaction design/experience design/design research etc... ________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the Interaction Design Association (IxDA)!
