Interaction Designer San Leandro or Philadelphia Offices Position Summary OSIsoft, Inc. has an opening for an Interaction Designer in either our San Leandro, CA or Philadelphia, PA offices. Your responsibilities will be to improve the quality of individual products and to create common experiences across products. Job Responsibilities Work on all customer facing portions of our products (web interfaces, thick clients, configuration tools, system management tools, among others) to improve the quality and to create a common experience across products. Interact with both Product Management and Software Development teams to help design the way that users interact with our products. Create effective and understandable user interfaces. Communicate user interface concepts to developers implementing those concepts. Educate developers on how to approach user interface problems. Requirements Bachelors degree or higher required, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science Degree specializing in interaction design or significant experience working in field. Conversant in general user interface design principles and practices (e.g. Alan Cooper and Donald Norman writings, personas, user interface testing). Comfortable discussing engineering problems and the process industry.
