thanks! ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Principal UI Full-Time - NYC We are looking for a Principal UI to lead all user interface designs for a suite of products and services through a staff of UI designers. The Principal UI oversees the creative development strategy for a suite of online products. The Principal UI ensures that the Product Design conceives and builds branded customer experiences that are effortless, immediate, and connected to the things our members value most. Responsibilities include: - · Possess complete understanding of the overall vision of a suite of products and directs the UI Design team toward this cohesive, unified vision - · Lead multiple project teams to identify, address and solve complex user interface design problems using multiple unique and innovative solutions - · Review and approve all UI design specifications and concepts for a suite of products - · Create an environment where performance and quality improvement, craft of UI design, and service performance thrive - · Collaborate with other disciplines to define the vision and requirements for several product suites - · Identify industry and consumer trends that will have an impact on the product design and articulates implications, and pursues opportunities for innovation within discipline - · Expert ability to question problem definition and reframes problems to address the underlying issues - · Ability to understand complex problems and deliver constructive design direction with only limited exposure to project - · Participate in and initiate strategic design projects with senior management - · Possess a strong design vision and sufficient knowledge to constructively challenge current practices and approaches - · Create consensus around new ideas and initiatives, building confidence in the outcome. - · Manage, cultivate and mentor junior UI talent and direct reports Experience The ideal candidate will be wicked schmaht, razor sharp, team-oriented, and affable. Well rounded in both management and craft, you are regarded as a thought leader and expert on UI design issues; possessing in-depth knowledge of design principles, process, workflow, and craft issues. You know how to use communication skills and common sense to negotiate complex matters (e.g. conflicting sources of information or opinions.) and relationships with other capability leads. You must also demonstrate creative leadership, high standards to the quality of the work, professional ethics and know how to rally and develop a team.
