It was not available at the time, and once a name has been chosen for an 
organization, it's very hard to change.

I went through this same discussion on sage-members at the time LOPSA was being 
created -- ad nauseum.

Trust me, they really did choose the best name that was available.


IMO, the issue of the naming of LOPSA is not a productive one to re-open.
