Whilst I agree it's mostly FUD, there are a number of high profile projects 
that have either effectively stopped (OpenSolaris), been closed source and 
charged (grid computing) or undergoing fuss and splintering (Hudson). There are 
a number that just outright stopped, like Kenai. Whilst it is by no stretch 
all, or even the majority, such a steady pace is disturbing and does little to 
encourage confidence.
