Back To You: Dear Mr. Boris and the List, Thank you, and I would like to ask you and the list if you have heard anything about this other service - Host Rocket < http://www.hostrocket.com/ > ?
I would be interested in any information about this service or any other considered service to use and the responders reasons why. Are there any drawbacks to using a provider in another country or hemisphere other than the obvious ? If you are in the New England or New York area, I understand why you may not be able to contact me now. I use their webmaster account for approx $300 a year. You get ample mysql dbs and can install most things I run a few websites and three drupal sites off of it. There is one step above but check it out John Boris ---- Sent from my Blackberry -----Original Message----- From: Harvey Rothenberg <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: 2/6/2013 4:22:42 PM Subject: [lopsa-discuss] Any Recommendations for creation of Website - providers, software, tools, etc. To the list, I am finally considering, after more than ten years, in creating a website to help with incident response and digital forensics. I have been involved with IT from an operational view since the 70's and for the last seven years I have been involved with investigative digital and cellphone forensics. Like all small private projects, funding is in short supply but the interest is high. Can you provide guidance as to how to accomplish this interest in an economical way ? I would rather have more control than ease of creation of the site. Can some of those website providers be a possible consideration or should I be more self-sufficient with software and hardware ? I look forward to your advise. Regards, Harvey Rothenberg Systems Integrator/Security Specialist "Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterwards." -- Unknown
