hehehehe...  Well, for the most part, they've maintained dialogue with me about 
this.  But it really doesn't matter anymore.  The conclusion is fixed.  Even if 
I manage to get my refund someday, after this level of effort and publicity, 
the conclusion is "If you buy from them, and you care about how you get treated 
in the event of a RMA, then video your package opening, etc, or just find a 
different vendor."  Even if I had video'd my package opening, you'll have to 
use a magnifying glass and a hi-res camera.  For reference, here are photos of 
my damaged drives:

The most recent (Wed 6/19) they said to me:
