Hi All,
I'm looking at the possibility of hiring an 'IT assistant' from within;
this is an individual who's a relatively savvy 'power user' who has been
interning in a non-IT role. This person would be doing mainly
end-user/desktop type support. Seems pretty strong in basic desktop
stuff but lacking somewhat in network fundamentals. Well motivated and
eager to learn though.
Any recommendations on a training offering that might help this
individual get up to speed quickly? Of course I thought of A+ but I
wonder if that might be too hardware-centric.... there would certainly
be some of that, but not the focus of the position.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Roy
