The first thing to decide is if you want/need to buy anything over what you
already have. Very high probability that every server in your
infrastructure already has the capability of measuring input temperature.
Many manged switches can measure temperature and possibly humidity as well.
Your physical air handlers almost certainly have this capability built into
them. Can you query them? There are lots of off-the-shelf solutions of
various degrees of expense, including Netbotz, Sensaphone, and others. Some
PDUS (e.g. ServerTech) have adjustable length probes that you can put in
various places.

Also keep in mind that relative humidity could different up to 60% between
hot areas and cold areas, but it's still the same dew point.
