I had the same problem, our solution was smartphone SIP applications
connected to our existing phone server over wifi with bluetooth
headsets. Mapped sip numbers onto a page of the Android home screen.
Most of the time when there were troubleshooting issues, I'd click one,
they'd click speaker phone in the office, and off we go. Worked fine.
Also put a phone in the data closet and abused the 2 way PA function of
Polycom phones, so a preconfigured extension on the phone server would
open a line that the phone would automatically answer.
Business was not a fan of the loud chrchunk of radios.

Salutations. I'd like to learn about walky talkies for our IT needs.
It's me and another guy running around on two floors.
I'd be grateful to hear about convenient features, what to avoid, etc.
Thanks,
Mack
