Ski,
I am able to get at Google Docs using OAuth2 with the python
"oauth2client" library. I basically copied and pasted this script[1] and
tweaked it until I more or less understood what was going on.

Matt,
I do not see the Google OAuth 2.0 Authorization Server on the console
and when I activate the Admin SDK there is no dialog. Perhaps somehow
I just do not have OAuth even enabled.

These are the only APIs that need it:
* Google Cloud Storage
* Google Prediction API
* Google URL Shortener
* Google OAuth 2.0 Authorization Server
* Google BigQuery
Which of those are you using, and have you clicked that "Off" button to
"On" in the API selection dialog on the console (the one that looks
vaguely like this: http://imgur.com/SyBcVx3.png)?
If you enable the API that needs it, the dialog should allow you to
download the private key file (which is the key.p12 file they're talking
about).
Does that make sense?

Matt,
Thanks for this, but I still have the fundamental problem in that I
do not know how to create the key.p12 file in the example at the
bottom of this page:

cheers,

Hi Ski,
I have, actually. In fact, I just spun up a new project to help
abstract
a lot of the cruft away, because as you've noticed, it's crufty.
I almost wrote a really, really big reply here, but then I
thought,
"maybe some people don't want 1300 words sent to their
inbox", so I
published it on my blog instead:

It's certainly not perfect, but it got the job done for me. If
you have
any follow up questions, please let me know!
Good luck. You'll need it!
