I highly recommend Saddleback for longevity and quality, plus it just
looks *awesome* (because it is). But none of the things I have from
Saddleback I would recommend as a primary computer mover. The one I use
the most is the Messenger Bag, and it works well for my 13" Macbook Air,
but the lack of internal pockets like I was used to (things fall out of
the two sewn-in leather pockets) means I had to get a Cocoon Grid-IT
(https://www.cocooninnovations.com/grid.php) which actually fixed all of
my complaints. But if someone is comparing a Saddleback to the
computer-specific backpack they've always used, they're just two
entirely different things.

The Saddleback bags are nice, and REALLY tough, but they're also REALLY heavy. They're thick, tough, leather and will wear well and look better with age, but tough to organize, and hard on the shoulders.
