Hey Chase,
Lets not start a BBQ flame war here.
US News says Memphis they rank Austin #5:

Huffinton Post has Lockhart Texas but Austin still #5
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/hoppercom/americas-ten-best-cities-_b_5106511.html
Travel and Leisure has Nashville #1 but Austin moved up to #4

But back to the Subject I think all surveys are skewed to the area they are
answered or how things are asked. In my one and only stat class I figured
out that you can skew any survey or stat by the way you ask the question or
handle the data.

While with the Defnese department we had a 4 Star General run the center
and he was tasked to get the morale of the center. They took a survey and
the 4 Star said "Here are our results and they show that the center's
Morale is great. We through out the top replies (#4 s) and the flat pans
(#1s) and used the middle responses. " Duh! The middle was a 2 or 3. So I
take survey results just as a barometer but not as gospel. Also as a person
who is constantly asked to supply data for analysis I now the answers can
be skewed as to what data I supply.
