Raleigh, NC > - Are you willing to relocate? No. > - What is your current skill set? 2 yrs as an Infrastructure Manager leading Sysadmins and a MySQL DBA. > - Windows/*nix, all of the above? Linux/Solaris/SANS/Windows. > - Any config mgmt experience? Yes, hands on with Puppet (1.5yrs) and Chef (1yr). Also know Foreman, some Katello and Satellite. > - Any relevant technologies (java platforms, id mgmt, ruby web > services, asp.net) Not much in the developer areas. Spent months in depth with CA Wily Introscope finding issues in Java code though. > - What do you want to develop? People. > - Are you interested in making technical decisions and doing interesting > things or are you looking to manage folks and facilitate them in doing > those things? Prefer to let my team do the technical work, but can step in when needed. Remove blockers for my team. Help guide/create the vision and direction for the team/company. > - What excites you about tech? Algorithms, complex systems, id mgmt? Problem solving. Especially solving complex problems. I am a big picture person who can connect a lot of dots. Automating everything. I try to automate myself out of a job. There is always an easier way to do things. Passionate about monitoring. Service downtime is a bad thing.
