> I would love to know what your antivirus/malware strategy is and why? Howdy Ski!
At work we use Symantec EndPoint Protection. We use it on *all* assets (all Linux and Windows servers, all Windows and Mac desktops and laptops) and we're currently testing Windows 10 desktops with it (seems fine) and Surface Pro tablets (buggy). I like that it supports Linux (rpm and dpkg) and you can customize the install package and AV environment quite a bit. It's not the greatest platform and technical documentation is hit or miss (there were omitted steps to install the client on Linux) and calling tech support is the same. We are mostly virtual and our security team handles securing the ESX layer. I manage the AV platform for a US government agency with over 1,200 staff. BYOD is prohibited but we do allow staff to install Symantec on their home machines. Does it work? Yes, but it could be improved. Hope this helps. -- Pete Orrall [email protected] www.peteorrall.com "If there isn't a way, I'll make one." _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
