In our environment we have not seen a few files for the same shard. What
are they for? Also, these numbers 40001, 80001, 120002, what do they mean?
I think those numbers are journal index numbers.
As for multiple snapshots being in existence -- there have been some
patches in the are
(https://git.opendaylight.org/gerrit/c/controller/+/82380 is what I
remember, but there's probably more).
