More concrete summary (as I understand it, correct me, if I'm wrong):

1) We will submit worshop and presentation.

2) Clear message "from OSGeo to INSPIRE people": "OSGeo projects are
ready for INSPIRE" (very general statement)

3) Presentation will give short summary to each OSGeo (and related)
project about what was happening last year in the development and what's
gonna happen next in relationship to INSPIRE. Presentation is more
"decision-makers" oriented.

4) Same applies for workshop, which will be longer, each project has
chance to prepare custom presentation, ideally presented by someone from
the community, but not necessarily. Workshop will be more technically
oriented.

NOTE: Deadline is tomorrow evening [1] (1 day, 5 hours from NOW)

Any contributions should be organized at [2]

Hi all,

Thank you for the very interesting and insightful discussion we had on
the hang out.

As we discussed, we can make a short presentation with what OSGeo has to
offer to technicians/users/developers in terms of what level of INSPIRE
compliance there is in OSGeo Projects.
I propose that all projects involved with OSGeo (Labs, Live, Incubation,
Graduated) could send some information (compliance level, national
projects they were involved in, contributions to standards, reference
implementations, testing suites etc) that they would like to be included
in such a presentation. As previously stated the Live presentation is a
good template for listing all those projects together.

Also we need to list all OSGeo members that are going to attend the
conference in order to see if a hands-on workshop would be something
feasible, or if we should stick to a general presentation + open
discussion.

Thoughts?

Best regards,
Angelos

Dear Margherita, I'll be there. At the conference I have a workshop on
NASA WW and the same week there is in Florence the NASA WW challenge for
students. If the OSGeo - INSPIRE event is not overlapped to those other
commitments, I will attend willingly and in any case I can contribute
with
examples and case studies. Please if you can coordinate the initiative,
I'll help you. If you agree we can have also a Skype meeting next week.

Hi all,

according to [1], this year's INSPIRE conference will be between 23-27
of June.

I believe, many of you already submitted the paper

NOTE: Deadlines: March 15, 2013 Deadline for submitting paper
and workshops proposals (extension given from March 1)
March 29 2013 Deadline for submitting poster proposals

I would like to try to get there and submit some paper about OSGeo
activities towards INSPIRE.
Talking to the INSPIRE people here at JRC we were thinking that a
workshop
proposal from OSGeo would be most interesting. It wouldn't be a classic
workshop format but rather a barcamp inside the conference. The aim
is to
put around a table people from OSGeo and people from INSPIRE, in
order to
understand each other's world.. What do you think? would it be feasible?

Do you consider this activity useful?
Pretty much! Thank you for proposing that!
