I second the nomination of Chris. I met Chris in person at FOSS4G
Denver (and Andrew finally in fact ha!), but I've been watching how he
is regarded in the community for a while - building cool software,
holding events like JS.Geo (which I see he has announced for
September)...he is full of energy and enthusiasm and a wonderful speaker
and representative of OSGeo and FOSS4G. To me he and Andrew will always
be part of that cool new crowd, the new kids on the block with fresh
ideas and passion, and we can learn from them both! :)

Chris has developed and promoted open source JavaScript geo tools for
years. He started by introducing OSGeo to the US NREL and then
building GeoCommons. He builds numerous open source visualization
libraries in OpenLayers and Leaflet and recently started the Koop open
source data api converter. Chris is a frequent speaker to OSGeo and
OSM events and runs the JS.Geo conference.
