Hi Aaditya,
There are many projects under the umbrella of OSGeo. I suggest that you
start by having a look at the projects and see which one interests you
personally.
If you are starting fresh, it is often a good idea to select a project
with a strong community behind it, and which has a track record for
helping users (check the email list archives for the project to see if
the community is responsive).
