At the LocationTech summit Rob Emmanuel had a wonderful introduction covering all three of these projects in the context of cloud processing technologies. Here is the abstract <https://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2015/session/locationtech-processing-geospatial-data-scale> , slides <http://www.slideshare.net/lossyrob/processing-geospatial-at-scale-at-locationtech> and video <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIkEZKUj4hU>. Now we just need to ask him to submit :) Jody
