As for open science and open data, an open geobrowser can make that information come alive! WorldWind doesn't have an upscale 'pro' version to sober you up, it's solid open source through-and-through! Brand new today, the EU's 'big data' portal, www.EarthServer.eu, has standardized on WebWorldWind (as has ESA), and they just popped this 'extra-terrestrial' body into view.
