Our African geocommunity is leading our huge developments for the future. For example, FOSS4G Southern Africa will be held in Johannesburg from June 27-30 next year. It will be a joint conference with the South African QGIS User Group and overlap with a GeoforAll + SAGTA conference so there will be great interaction with the secondary and tertiary geography and GIS education sector.
