Before forwarding this call to the Dutch local malig list:
it's not quite clear to me what this call-out is about, and what you do
expect as input from local chapter representatives.
Is it just for the stiemap discussion on April 12th. Or are you looking
for local input for the entire project?

I had the off-list question about how much the time commitment to
expect. I am not sure, (since I have not done it). However the meeting
notes [14] provide two key bits of information we can use to guess the
time commitment:
* Wednesday Meetings at 14:00 UTC [15] - we will be strict at
keeping these meetings to an hour (since volunteer time is precious).
* The notes also provide a timeline [16] - armed with this you can
plan which meetings to attend - here is a sample for April:
April 12th: Presentation information architecture (sitemaps)
April 19th: Presentation wireframes
April 26th: Presentation initial branding (Concept brand identity
and concept strategy)
April 28th - milestone 2: Delivery of wireframes, information
architecture, initial branding
_My guess at a time commitment_ - expect 30 mins a week to keep up
with email and reading, and 1 hour for each week where the meeting
topic is a topic important to your committee.
Based on the timeline it would be good to have geoforall and local
chapter input for next weeks "sitemap" discussion.
Final thing to consider this is one of those activities where OSGEO
GETS OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN. Since the current website lasted us 10 years
we would like to do a good job.

Europe preferred, but as with everything passion is more important
than timezone. Looks like meetings are each Wednesday, and we could

In summary, this project will produce 3 sets of output; 1) An

set of branding for our organization and its sub-brands which will

labs or for general outreach. The gory details for each of these

We will be working with SAC on standing up the new site and

before FOSS4G in Boston and to be ready to onboard content
contributors (YOU!!).
We have a representative from SAC (Harrison Grundy) who has joined
our
project team and are specifically looking for someone to join from
the
GeoForAll initiative as well as someone to represent the interests
of
the local chapters projects. We really invite *anyone* from the
community to help us manage this project, so if you are available to
fill these roles, please join the marketing list and speak up!
Our committee will be providing regular updates to this list
approximately once a month and there will be ample opportunity for
you
to provide feedback as we move through the process. Please speak
up!,
but lets all work very hard to be constructive and look toward the
larger goal of presenting OSGeo, our projects and initiatives
professionally, clearly and most of all in a way that is easily
accessible to the large number of GIS users out there who may not
yet
be familiar with open source and are looking to us as their Open
Source Compass.
Happy to answer any questions about the process or deliverables here
or on the marketing list. We are extremely excited to finally be
able
to update our brand and external facing presence. We look forward to
your input and participation!
