Thanks Maria for sharing this excellent updates. We need to have all our labs join the UN-GGIM Academic Network and ensure strong support for Open Principles in Education. I am in Africa right now for a G77 Ministerial conference and it is important that Africa and other developing regions benefit from Geospatial opportunities. You are our voice and strong presence for UN GGIM Advisory Board.
Best wishes, Suchith ________________________________________ From: GeoForAll <geoforall-boun...@lists.osgeo.org> on behalf of Maria Antonia Brovelli <maria.brove...@polimi.it> Sent: 15 June 2017 10:52 AM To: geoforall Cc: discuss osgeo; OSGeo-Board Subject: [Geo4All] UN-GGIM Academic Network Dear All As probably some of you already know, recently was created, under UN-GGIM, the Academic Network. Here you can see all details http://unggim.academicnetwork.org In my opinion it is relevant that all universities and research centers contributing to the UN mandate and the SDGs are part of this network. Please consider, if you have activities in this field, to join the network (procedures are described on the website) and to help me with comments and suggestions. The next meeting of the UN-GGIM Academic Network will be in New York (at UN). I will attend and therefore I can present our join activities and I can report you later the outcomes.
