A number of us open source folks drafted a detailed (8 page) submission for Australia's next Open Government National Action plan explaining numerous aspects of the open communities which Open Government could learn from.

This story has been picked up by the Linux Journal and Australia's publication for senior public servants, the Mandarin. The messages are universally applicable. I'm aware that many of you are involved in Government initiatives and hopefully will be able to make use of this within your own countries.
