Hey,
sure I get the more usability thing, it's more just to let people know that it's active and out there and they can get involved. I'm sure a lot of people don't know about the project and any serious person will know that it's in development, who knows, they might even get involved and help out. :)

Perhaps just the blog then until things are working more?
And.

Andy, do you want to put a note up on blog.plumi.org, send it to the plumi announce list and also post it onto Plone.org? I checked the plone page and it says 0.3 is being released in April :)
http://plone.org/products/plumi/

I had in mind something like:

finish the eggs' TODO list

publish plumi.* eggs to pypi

tag another alpha release plumi 0.3 [ 2 weeks ]

migrate code / experiment with upgrading (copies of the ZODBs from) demo.plumi and stable EM

beta release cycle which will include more skin development. [ end august ? ]

I would start to blog and advertise at this stage more extensively, since it would be more useful out of the box.

I think people can start to find out the alphas if there are motivated, since its not plumi 0.2.3 feature complete - e.g indytube isnt compatiable with the setup out of the box - i dont feel like pushing just yet.

comments?

also I just updated our Plone page to the latest details . I marked the 0.3 as "alpha", and added more description.
