Considering a C7000 with 16 blades, 32 hard disks, 1 power module, 6 fans, 1 network module, 16 licenses, 32 processors, 32 network cards, and 128 sticks of ram sold for anywhere between 44,000 and 130,000 as reticently as 3 years ago, $2,500 seems like quite a steal to me. That's less than $160 per server for dual quad-cores (8 cores) with 128 GB ram.
But the question of if we have the budget or if we will get any value out of it is a separate issue.
