You need to light the pilot light.. the instructions are on the unit.

Basicly you need to turn the pilot knob to 'light' and push it down and
hold it while lighting the pilot. Wait 60 seconds and let go. The pilot
should stay lit.  After that turn it to 'normal' and it should run normally
after that.

I will be there tomorrow at by meeting so I can check it then.
