There are some pretty obvious things. Does NMM offer a large space where we can
play videos on a projector and geek out with other geeks, twenty at a time?
It sounds to me like it’s intended for working, and is pretty business-y. Ours
is more casual, and offers more for those who want to make things.

Thanks Justin,
I don't know whether something I wrote caused you to ask for patience...perhaps
my comment about switching from Skull- to Co-work- space?
I'm just pointing out that now we are in direct competition with them more or
less with regard to the space aspect if we continue exactly in the same
direction. In at least a few of the rooms. And we don't even know how many of
the rooms we have will be unique.
I guess there is a distinguishing characteristic of what a SkullSpace member
needs over what a New Media Member needs to the point that picking which space
to buy a membership for will be an obvious choice to most people. And the rest
can pay for both memberships anyway.

Patience with a budding organisation is the best thing I can ask for
from you and similar-minded folk right now. SkullSpace has almost
existed for two years, and for the past 1.5 years we have been
growing, and learning how to run our group. The 125 Adelaide location
was a good start, but now we're ready to move on to the next step in
SkullSpace's journey.
I think it's important that we maintain our own space - this is
something that almost all members will agree on. And we're strong
enough to be on our own. I encourage the idea of forming partnerships
with similar organisations that can contribute to the overall growth
of hacker-like and new-media-related groups in Winnipeg. It's always
good to be on similar pages with others.
So definitely I'd like to contact NMM in the coming months, and other
groups, and see what we can start to do together, even if it's
increased recognition!
