I like your idea for movable walls, but I don't think we should aim for silence. Even full walls don't guarantee it. A visual separator and being mindful of what else is happening will have to suffice. e.g. If there's a class on, movie watchers will have to keep the volume down.
I am unsure about our ability to do wood cutting at AW. I can't do it - I don't know how to use the tools. And there's only a few people with joint memberships.
