The server rack is getting a bit silly due to the servers without slide-rails that are just "stacked" with the dead left in the pile. As such I proposed at the last meeting the following policies:
1) All servers put into the Sksp rack from now all must be properly rack-mounted. We have some rails, else you can likely find them on eBay or ask netops@. 1b) If you really wish to install a server but cannot find the correct rails, you are permitted to contact another server owner and rack their server in exchange for putting yours "on the pile". 2) A reminder that all servers need to have labels with the owner's name and some contact info (phone/e-mail) as well as IP addresses used. Also please label the back ethernet ports as to which is used and for which IP. Also keep the networking page up to date for IP usage etc.
