An Introduction to Agile

As pressure to be more effective and efficient increases, organizations are
adopting agile methodologies in order to be more responsive to customer needs
while increasing respect and collaboration among teams. While some think of
Agile as strictly a development methodology, in conjunction with operations it
can be used as both a foundation for continuous improvement and a vehicle for
rapidly understanding and validating external customer needs. This presentation
will serve as an introduction to agile and discuss the crucial role that
operations teams can play to support faster feedback and subsequently company
improvements.

About Steve:

Steve Rogalsky first started experimenting with agile and lean techniques as a
child. He learned the importance of 'test first' and the folly of 'test last'
after starting a snow ball fight with the older kids in the neighborhood. While
playing the popular Lego game of 'zoom your vehicle towards your brother's
vehicle and see which one breaks first', he honed his simple design and
iterative development skills.

Steve is a process hacker and co-founder of the Winnipeg Agile User Group.
Passionate about his family, simplicity, respect for people, and continuous
improvement. You can find him at
