I'm pleased to announce that SkullSpace will be hosting Winnipeg's Global Day of Coderetreat 2013!
This is an event for experienced programmers who want to hone their craft. >From the website: Coderetreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. By providing developers the opportunity to take part in focused practice, away from the pressures of 'getting things done', the coderetreat format has proven itself to be a highly effective means of skill improvement. Practicing the basic principles of modular and object-oriented design, developers can improve their ability to write code that minimizes the cost of change over time. More information and a video is at http://coderetreat.org/about. Registration is at http://coderetreat.org/events/global-day-of-coderetreat-2014 and space is limited. This event is being organized by Amir Barylko and David Alpert, two local software craftsmanship superheroes. TL;DR for members who are not participating, we will be using the classroom area from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, December 14th. Thanks, -Andrew
