Assuming you want reasonable-length prefab patch cords on short notice, you're probably stuck with Computer Avenue or Memory Express. Staples' price is absolutely ridiculous, and BestBuy/FutureShop aren't far behind.

If you don't care what lengths, check out Princess Auto's surplus section - I've gotten some amazing deals on ethernet patch cords there. Looks like they currently have 7' for $5 and 14' for $7.

Super-cheap 3' cables can sometimes be found at Dollarama(!).

Otherwise you can also try Wal-Mart. Beware, they put patch cords into two different sections (one with phones, one with computers) at radically different prices.
