All that being said, if you spread out the costs of bringing in anyone awesome in the world of computing between Skullspace, MUUG, U of W applied computer science dept, U of M computer science dept, and whatever from Red River and do good promo, book a real lecture theatre for free at one of the schools and charge some admission or do good hat pass begging for a little more revenue, it can happen. Just takes major volunteer organizing energy.
