Well... That was just awesome! Our Tabletop Day event was a definite success. We had a great turnout of members, friends and of people who were interested in the space - all of whom stayed for a tour and to play a few games.
Many games were played, many snacks were consumed and much fun was had by all. Special thanks to (in no particular order): Mark for helping greet people, for playing around a thousand games of chess, and for teaching my son (cape) to play - and letting him win his first game Alex[1] for helping set up the space (and for giving people a lift down). Kristy (Alex[1]'s wife) for baking yummy cookies and those incredible brownies! John (sp?) For bringing the chili dip, chips, etc. Ethan my son (hat) for making chocolate chip cookies and that superb banana bread, and for helping with the cleanup. Vicki (my lovely wife) for making the guacamole, for helping keep the snack trays filled and the coffee flowing, and for (wo)manning the oh so awesome popcorn machine all day. Brittany, Michael, and Zöe for bringing friends and family down to share the fun. That was really great. Jim, Richard and Brittany for helping to organise the event, contacting sponsors, etc. Rylaan for designing our truly kick ass poster. Good times... Definitely doing this next year! Nathan T. Wild
