Bike Week is June 14th to 20th this year. I usually host a Pit Stop for Bike To Work Day (the Friday of this week) at a community centre that I work with. I was thinking that it might be an excellent outreach opportunity if we were to host one at SkullSpace instead.
Basically this would entail us setting up a table out on the sidewalk in front of the space and hanging out for a few hours in the morning to give snacks and drinks to commuters who stop by. There may be people who want a quick tour of the space as well. We could make that day a work-from-SkullSpace day too, since we will be there anyway :) I will happily fund and take the lead on this project. All we would need is one or two other volunteers to be on-hand for the morning commute period on June 20th to talk about SkullSpace to anyone who stops by. Volunteers usually get a Bike To Work Day shirt, and a voucher for a free burger *and beer* at the wind-up BBQ at the Forks later that day. Half-Pints usually brews a special ale for this event.
