Sounds interesting! A one-day CTF without too much trivia sounds like just my
thing.

Subject: [SkullSpace-Announce] Saturday May 10 - Capture-The-Flag (CTF)Skill
Building Event
Attn: Those who enjoy computer-related puzzles, programming challenges, anagram
solving, achievement-unlocking, cheesy humour or snacking!
SkullSpace - 2-374 Donald St
Saturday, 2014 May 10
~9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or until we fade away
We will be tackling a CTF event that ran last year and has been found to be
_very_ approachable, yes - even if you are asking "What is a CTF?"! DefCon CTF
qualifiers are the weekend after so we will be teaching some tools, vocabulary
and approaches that may be useful for tackling the next week's event or
whenever you choose to next play in a Capture The Flag challenge.
Richard plans on getting to the space early to help people with registering in
the system & getting started as they arrive so come down any time you can
during the event but for the best experience come as early as you can! (i.e.
if you come later, more and more of the challenges will have been unlocked by
most of the participants)
Food will be available and additions to the lunch potluck welcome but not
required.
Please do bring a computing device of some kind with a web browser for
accessing and solving the challenges (or have a partner with a device), e.g.
laptop, netbook, RaspberryPi, etc. ...
Please direct questions to [email protected] or
[email protected] as you prefer.
See you there!
