I kinda want a BeagleBone black (for OpenBSD) and/or possibly an Ethernet Shield for my Arduino. They are a bit spendy and I have a $50 credit on sparkfun, just indecisive...
One of my someday maybe projects is a remote controlled power relay. I have a few 'smart' power-bars but I would like to be able to switch a power remotely via an app or IR remote. I've found a few options in various places though most of them are specifically designed for lamps not a 'typical load' on a circuit. Oleg and I also had an idea to build a switch that I can setup for my wife to toggle to enable/disable the v6 tunnel on our router (ie. arduino -> serial -> cisco) as v6+netflix = not fun. The BeagleBone would replace the Soekris NET4801 that's reading the 1wire temperature sensors Edwin setup for me. -- Sean On Jun 29, 2014, at 1:39 PM, R Rodd <[email protected]> wrote: > A few of the items featured recently in SparkFun's promo emails have made it > onto my wishlist and with some birthday-cash in hand I figure now is a good > time to stock up for summer projects.
