Hi Adrian, Thanks for your help. Yes, this is a wireless network - my SB would normally stream MP3s from my fileserver, but I'm trying to get radio streamed instead. I've never used LAME for this purspose before, so the butrate is set to the default of 320. I installed LAME encoder into "C:\Program Files\Lame audio encoder" on your advice. (I didn't 'install' it so much as 'unzip' it into that location). I restarted slimserver service, but slimserver doesn't yet know about LAME. It still tells me "You don't appear to ave LAME installed". How can I update slimserver so that it know where LAME is? Then I'll try limiting the bitrate to something like 96, and work upwards from there.... Thanks again, Dan.

'Normal' playback (of MP3s) works fine, with no interruptions. I'm guessing it is something to do with the buffer. I was wondering if there is a specific setting I can use to increase the buffer size to stop the breaks in playback? I tried adding the buffer fullness to the display, but this doesn't seem to work with AlienBBC (??) I have a broadband connection through NTL Cable - rated at 1.5MB download. I'm hoping that this should be ok for streaming? Any advice welcome! It's *so* close, but not quite there :-( Cheers!
