[slim] can't browse whole alphabet of playlists with remote

Hi. I'm running 5.4.0 and an sb. I can browse artists with the remote but when I browse playlists using the alphabet keys, I get stuck on clarence gatemouth brown. No letter after c will get the playlists, until I get to t and w (keys 8 & 9). I can scroll past C with the arrow key, but then pressing a letter after C will again bring me back to C.

This same behavior happens when browsing the music folder but NOT for browsing artists and genres. It also happens if I use SoftSqueeze.

What is this problem and is there a way to fix it under 5.4?
