The audio in these Podcasts is mono with a sampling frequency of 32kHz. May be your Slimp3 player have problems with this format? Could probably be solved by editing convert.conf in order to force lame to transcode MP3 into an MP3 format that Slimp3 can decode. But I am afraid someone else needs to provide the details here...
