Hello everyone, Please forgive me if this is obvious but I have had a
quick scan of the archives and failed to find a definitive answer. Has something happened between 5.4 and 6.0x with
regard to the handling of differently cased artists (in this example). I notice that I now have: Deep Purple deep purple Deep purple deep Purple All showing as 4 different artists. I am progressing through my library with Tag and
Rename and ‘fixing’ things that are perceived wrong/inconsistent
but I just wondered if this is a new effect caused by more ‘correct’
processing of the available data or has it always been this way? Is there a switch that can ‘cure’ this ‘symptom’
or should I just sort my data out?!? (only 200GB to go!) Otherwise I would just like to add that I have found
6.02 running under Windows 2000 on my aged HP Kayak XU800 dual PIII-733 with
1GB Ram and 2 x 150GB drives to be rock solid. I just bought in a Fujitsu
Econel 50 server box to re-house the entire collection using mirrored 300GB
drives. The Fujitsu is fairly quiet, had on board RAID1 and will be running
Windows 2003 Small Business Server – is there anything I need to watch
