I put in an enhancement request. no 1676.
In a darkened room the scrolling, to me, is annoying. I therefore
set it to long periods (40 secs) between scrolls.
On occasions you do need to see the extra information so you must wait.

you can decrease the initial delay, or speed it up scroll rate from
the player
settings in the web interface.
