You might as well go for a 7.2 beta, 7.2 is very soon to be released. if you go 7.1 take the 7.1.1 the slightly bugfixed one
Btw don't worry if 7.1 or 7.2 crash at the first start after install, just delete your cache folder and start again, it will then automatically build a new database. They made some changes in dB something ? that require a rescan, somewhere in 7.1 beta ? this happens automatically in many cases, but in some cases it crash.
