Some settings to check if you are having problems are tucked away under 'Advanced' in the server settings screen.
It appears that some of the NAS builds use a different HTTP port by default, so please check this and the CLI port if you are having problems connecting. If you have problems scanning, try setting the 'charset' value to utf8 and see if that helps. This shouldn't be needed on recent 7.3 server builds.
