I've merged your changes into my repository and posted new binaries for both your alsa-display version and the standard verson and the updated source tarball. The alsa-display tar file includes the SC patch and lirc config file as well. Both binaries include the high latency patch listed above.
Thanks for the enhancement, that'll be great on my old squeezeslave laptop. I hope to get a chance to try out the display verson as soon as I get a chance upgrade my test server with the 7.2.1 patch.
